Email Christine at christeve3@mail.com

Christine moved to the Annapolis Valley after teaching for 22 years for the Halifax County school board.  She founded “New Leaf Kindergarten”, an alternative primary class in Wilmot, NS.  Six years later, she taught in Costa Rica for one year before retiring to become a full time painter.  She teaches acrylics privately to groups of 4 to 6 students.

Chris is a self-taught artist except for many workshops taken with artists she finds inspiring.  Some of them are: Jeannie Hancock, Charles Spratt, J’anna Jaquelin, Louise Williams, Brian Ateyo and Sandi Komst.

She paints in her studio near Middleton, NS and belongs to the Aritists’ Circle whose members have played a major role in her development as a full time artist.

Christine enjoys learning and in recent years has been exploring and enjoying acrylics after 30 years as a watercolour artist.  Nature is her primary subject and she has received many First Prize awards from the Apple Blossom Art Show and the Valley Exhibition.

Visit her website http://www.christineritchie.com which displays some of her art and comments along with other venues for her work.
